GXRTDR Exterior Refrigerator / Ice Maker Filter - GE GXRTDR Replacement Water Filter improves the taste of water coming into your refrigerator.
It has a rated capacity for 2500 gallons or 6 months. GE recommends that it should be replaced whichever comes first.
GXRTQR is designed to be installed directly to refrigerator water-line.
The outer diameter of the supply line to your refrigerator must be 1/4" in order to use GXRTDR In-line filter.
Tool required to install GXRTDR filter:
- tube cutter
- knife
- bucket or pan
GXRTDR exterior inline filter may be used as an alternative (but not direct replacement) for Fisher Paykel filter model 836848 with some modification on the set-up. In order to use it as an alternative for Fisher Paykel 836848 you need to disconnect the water lines (1/4" Outer Diameter) coming-in and going-out from the base stationary unit of the Fisher Paykel filter which is mounted to your kitchen cabinet or to your refrigerator.
You can then connect the tubing to the GXRTDR filter by following the instructions that comes with the filter and enjoy the GE water filtration quality in your drinking water.
