46-9002 Kenmore filters are used on Kenmore branded bottom freezer and side-by-side freezer refrigerators and are located inside the refrigerator fresh food section on the top right corner. It is removed by turning the filter around its vertical axis by 1/4 turn.
Kenmore Refrigerator Water Filter model# 46-9002 is discontinued. Kenmore refrigerators using this filter are manufactured by Whirlpool for Sears-Kenmore Brand.
To replace Kenmore Refrigerator filter 46-9002 you can use either Whirlpool OEM Filters EDR8D1B
It is located on the inside the fresh food section of your refrigerator at the upper right corner mounted vertically to the receptacle at the ceiling.
It is removed by turning the filter around its vertical axis by 1/4 turn.
Whirlpool filters are now color coded and EDR8D1B - FILTER8 has a yellow colored circle on the label where number "8" is located denoting Filter-8.
